Dr Nina Kim Hanson

Dr. Nina Kim Hanson is an educator in profession and in her heart. Dr. Nina is a first generation college graduate and PhD. As someone who has navigated education as neurodivergent student, Dr Nina knows firsthand how to remove barriers and ensure that all students get the opportunities they deserve. As the first Asian American on the Lake Stevens School Board, Dr Nina Kim Hanson inspires many through her achievements but mostly through the way she deeply cares for the needs of our school district.

When Dr. Kim Hanson isn’t advocating at the legislative level for our Lake Steven students, she is spending quality time with her three children and husband. She loves being creative and crafty. She also loves engaging in Crossfit, Olympic style weightlifting, power lifting, and playing and enjoying music. You can also find her running in various running events including those that raise funds for inspirational causes. In the summer you can find her and her family of 5 running around the LS Farmers Market and enjoying every possible outing during the holidays!
